Julie Shepherd is a classroom based educational consultant and Literacy coach. In her role, she works alongside teachers: planning, modelling strategies and acting as mentor and critical friend. She has worked as a primary teacher, university lecturer and has written several teacher reference texts. She continues to deliver professional learning sessions with teachers across Australia, as well as in Singapore, China and South Korea.
Julie has assisted many teachers to implement a quality Literacy program. She has a particular interest in Spelling and travelled to France in 2016 to participate in a residential on Orthography with a retired Cambridge professor. She has had a long involvement in 美姬社区as a member, local council president, participant at conferences and PL; and for several years as a member of the Victorian State Council. She is also co-convenor for the 2019 美姬社区national conference.
