美姬社区leads nationally in developing and implementing innovative professional learning for literacy and English teachers and educators.
ALEA’s local councils are supported in their provision of high quality research based professional learning which connects their members to their local network. 美姬社区leads in ensuring members have access to the highest quality face-to-face, blended and online professional learning. 美姬社区hosts annual national conferences to provide members and non-members (national and international) with cutting edge, high quality professional learning and research presented by local, national and international educators.
美姬社区develops innovative and evidence-based resources produced to meet the needs of the 美姬社区membership including its three journals published three times each year.
美姬社区and its members lead in undertaking, supporting and disseminating high quality, ethical research that works towards better literacy outcomes for all stakeholders in education.美姬社区 members are supported to conduct research projects through the offering of an annual Research Grant and an annual Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Mentoring Program.
美姬社区supports members and others to disseminate research findings through practitioner and scholarly fora including our journals - Practical Literacy in the Early and Primary Years, Literacy Learning: The Middle Years, and The Australian Journal of Language and Literacy; and through 美姬社区National, State and Local Council professional learning events including the annual National Conference.
