Hosted by 美姬社区Riverina Murray

Date: Saturday 13 September
ime: 9.30am – 10.30am
Venue: Conference Room, Quest Albury on Townsend, Albury

Join us for a powerful and thought-provoking conversation about the current state of education and literacy in Australia with Jane Caro – renowned journalist, author, social commentator, and public education advocate.

Jane is widely known for her passionate campaigning for fully funded public schools and her fearless commentary on education policy, equity, and the future of literacy. Her writing and media appearances challenge the status quo, urging us to reimagine what schooling could be if equity, access, and meaningful learning were placed at the centre of decision-making.

In this one-hour session, Jane will share insights on:

  • The challenges facing education in Australia today

  • What’s happening in literacy education – and what really matters

  • The impact of funding disparities on children, teachers, and communities

  • Why defending public education is a collective responsibility

Following the talk, there will be a Q&A session where attendees can pose questions and engage in critical conversation with Jane.
