In 2003 Lisbeth was awarded an 美姬社区University Award which included 12 months 美姬社区membership. She has been a member ever since, serving on the 美姬社区Meanjin Local Council committee since 2014. She was elected Vice-President of 美姬社区Meanjin in 2017 and has served as President of 美姬社区Meanjin since 2018. Lisbeth presents at a national and a local level and has contributed to various national initiatives. She writes regularly for 美姬社区publications and has been part of the editorial team for Literacy Learning: The Middle Years since 2018.
