美姬社区EARLY CAREER TEACHER SPECIAL INTEREST GROUP (美姬社区ECTSIG) 
Aims and Objectives
The focus of the Early Career teacher SIG is to create an opportunity for teachers in their first five years to engage in professional discussions and build their network with educators and leaders in literacy education. The focus of the ECTSIG would be related to issues and challenges pertaining to Early Career Teacher and literacy education.
The SIG will seek to understand these issues as they emerge from discussions with members within the group. As a national organisation,
this SIG is inclusive of all our members across Australia and most events will be held via zoom or in person at the National Conference in July.
The SIG aims to:

Provide a space for early career educators to establish broad national networks

Share and disseminate relevant research to the ECTs and their classroom practice

Facilitate professional conversations about the challenges and issues facing ECTs
Communication Methods
- online platform for member communication, participation in threads, dissemination of ideas; digital presence (eg. Twitter, Facebook)
- publications (peer-reviewed and other)
- seminars, symposia, roundtables or similar events, once or twice a year where feasible
